It’s Going to be Okay

“It’s going to be okay, and your child will figure out how to handle whatever may arise.” This is what all children need to absorb into their DNA. Today. Really? Yes, really! How else do you want your child to feel? What else would you want your child to believe? How else can they face the future? It’s a future that you may or may not share with them.

Let’s be frank. The world is changing quickly. As of the date of this post, the shadow of artificial intelligence is looming large. AI is set to upend how society and business function. The landscape of everything we believe we know is fluid. It’s difficult to know what’s coming. How do we prepare our children for the new reality that is surely to come?

Let’s agree that our children must know that they will handle everything the world hands them. They need to feel confident, despite how you personally feel. They need to believe that you are confident that everything is and will be okay. They need to believe that they can and will handle any hardship that will arise in their life. Children must believe that “It’s going to be okay.”
And that message must come from you; the way you speak to them, the way they see you react to problems, the way they hear you speak to others.
